Product Information

An early First World War Birmingham Small Arms (BSA) manufactured SMLE MKIII military issued rifle dated 1914 and chambered in .303. Still in tact are the front and rear volley sights, magazine cut off plate and correct early bolt assembly. The brass disc reads "Malvern 812".  This early WWI rifle would have seen service in the first world war and most like the second too, before being used as a training aid and marked D.P. (Drill Purpose). A very sought after British rifle, with the vast majority being lost, captured or destroyed during the fierce fighting and horrendous conditions of the First World War. Note the armours repair to the stock behind the rear volley sight, this is a good indication of active service.  Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
