Product Information

This is a great condition matching numbers Russian Officers M1895 Nagant revolver. Dated 1928 it was manufactured by Tula using the initials "C.C.C.P." This script was only used by Tula during the 1920s as an intermediate name. Production numbers for 1928 are estimated to be just 30,000. The M1895 revolvers were used by the Red Army during both World Wars, and are a seven shot revolver with a unique gas-seal. When cocked the cylinder moves forward, the gap between the cylinder and the barrel closes. This provides a boost to the muzzle velocity allowing the weapon to be suppressed and increase muzzle velocity. A very clever and advanced design for the time. They were also used by infamous KGB, who adapted them and used them fitted with a silencer.
