This is a scarce inter war period SMLE No1 MKIII with magazine cut-off. Dated 1929, it was manufactured by Enfield and still has many matched parts including the barrel, rear sight and nose cap. SMLE's that were produced during this period were only made in very limited numbers and this rifle would have almost certainly see service during WWII. This MKIII example was made to the same configuration as the early First War rifles with the magazine cut-off. It is great looking rifle with matched wood work throughout and comes fitted with a canvas sling.
