Product Information

This is a Beaumont-Adams type revolver, circa 1860s to 1870s. It has a five shot capacity and is chambered in .38. The overall design is very similar to that of the Beaumont-Adams revolvers from this period. However, this revolver has some very unique and unusual design features. The hammer strikes a spring loaded firing pin housed within a nut. When cocking the hammer back the firing pin moves back just enough to clear the chambers and thus allowing it to cycle. Very clever. However, the firing pin and spring are no longer present. There is no obvious makers mark but it has British proof stamps. We can not find another example like it and this leads us to believe that it maybe one of only a handful produced or possible even a one-off. The trigger return is missing. Deactivated to current specifications.
