It dates to the around 1890 to 1900 with British proof stamps and has a very low serial number of "14".  At some stage the extractor mechanism and cylinder spindle have been modified. This may have been done to make it easier to holster or conceal. It would have been privately purchased by a Gentleman as his personal sidearm. Deactivated to current specifications with clear chambers. The cylinders index when the trigger is pulled and the hammer works under spring tension.
