This is a rare Browning 1922 Issued to the "Bahnpolizei" - Railway Police whilst under US control. In the aftermath of WWII, Germany was broken up into sectors or zones, American, British and Russian etc. Policing these newly formed sector and zones was done using both German and Allied forces, with weapons being marked and issued according. The total number of these pistols issued is very few, estimated to be around 6,090 across models 1910s & 1922s. Rarely seen as most remained in Germany or were taken back to the US once Germany was self governing. One of the rarer FN 1922s. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked and dry fired
