Deactivated BSA .410 Bolt Action Shotgun

This is a scarcely seen Birmingham Small Arms manufactured bolt action shotgun chambered in .410. BSA introduced this model before WWI as a commercial sales gun utilising the same bolt as the Long Lee and Metford military bolt action rifles. This example has modified woodwork and would have been used by poachers or game keepers or for dispatching animals at close quarters. It retains its original numbered bolt.
