This is a rare US manufactured Colt Lightning revolver, chambered in .38.The Lightning was first introduced in 1877 and was Colt's first double action revolver that proved to be hugely successful for them. This example looks to be in untouched condition with its original and correct hard rubber grips. The frame has a case hardened finish, barrel, chambers, pistol grip and trigger are all blued. All visible numbers are matching. Deactivated sympathetically to current specifications with a working action and clear chambers.
