An early production Enfield No2 MK1 .38 Revolver. An all matching numbers example, it is profusely broad arrow stamped and dated 1931. This revolver is from the very first years production. The serial number has no letter prefix meaning this is number 5693rd off the production line that year. Once number 9999 was reached a letter prefix was added and the sequence was then repeated. Initially were issued to the RAF crews, and staff but became widely used among British officers and commanders during WWII. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
