A stunning condition First World War SMLE MKIII, manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA.Co) Dated 1915 and low three digit serial number, with magazine cut-off and early bolt.  BSA only produced around 275,900 MKIII & MKIII* SMLE's in 1915, with that year being the last year of the MKIII's. Covered in broad arrow acceptance stamps. Note the armourers repair to the corners of the stock, a very good indication of service use. The brass oil bottle is also BSA manufactured. A museum worth example with beautiful wood work. Comes with canvas sling, pull through cord and brass oil bottle. Deactivated with a working action, can be cocked, stripped and dry fired .
