Product Information

Deactivated First World War Webley MK6 revolver chambered in British .455. Dated 1918 with matching numbers and its original wartime grips. Note the broad arrow stamp within the diamond in the centre by the grip screw, only found on WW1 issued grips. The revolver is profusely broad arrow marked with 1918 acceptance and inspectors stamps. This revolver would have almost certainly been purchased by a British officer and taken to war. Even during 1918 the British army still had a shortage of Webley revolvers due to the huge loses of men and equipment. British officers had to purchase their own kit including a sidearm and holster during WWI. This example also bears the "sold out of service" markings; two broad arrow stamps facing each other. Meaning it was eligible to be privately purchased by the officer after leaving military service. Many MK6s were used again during the second world war. These first world war examples are now becoming increasing hard to find and very sought after. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
