Deactivated Hotchkiss Brandt 81mm mortar complete with tripod and foot plate

This is a very impressive WWII era Hotchkiss Brandt 81mm mortar complete with tripod and foot plate. This mortar was designed by the French in the 1930s with around 8,000 built in total. Production ceased when Germany invaded in 1940. They proved very effective so much so that the Nazis were quick to reissued captured examples to its own forces and other Axis armies.  This example has a matched tripod and foot plate. The 81mm mortar was a companies heavy weapon capable of inflicting heavy damage and casualties from a safe distance. The mortar tube is 127cm in length. The foot plate has three mounting positions for the ball of the mortar to locate into. The tripod is in good working order with its original traverse, leg chains, clamp and feet.

Mortars are not affected in anyway by the current EU / UK regulations and can be purchased and owned in their previous deactivation specs.
