Deactivated Old Spec rare British Lee Enfield L59A1 Training Rifle. These rifles were converted from WWII No4 rifles specifically for cadet training. They were issued to British army, navy and RAF cadets and were used for various training and drill exercises. Often painted with white bands to identify it as a none firing weapon, and with the initials DP meaning drill purpose. The vast majority were assigned to the scrap bin with the introduction of the SA80, it being considered an obsolete military rifle. This example is in lovely condition with correct white canvas sling. A must have for the Lee Enfield collector!! Deactivated in 1995 to old specifications it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
