This is a rare pre Nazi invasion of France MAB model D pistol. 16,000 Model D pistols were contracted in 1939 to the French military with serial numbers from around 31,000 to 47 ,000. This example was assigned to the French State Police (Police D' Etat). Note the distinctive barrel release catch on the under side of the slide. This was omitted from the design post WWII. Still in super condition it was deactivated in 1991 to old specifications it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
