Product Information

Deactivated OLD SPEC WWII "Lend Lease" Lee Enfield No4 MKI* Rifle. This rifle was manufactured by US firm Savage Stevens in 1942 under the Lend Lease agreement. This agreement was between the UK and US Governments where by the US supplied the British with various weapons. These weapons were marked "US Property" and were shipped over for use by British and Allied troops in Europe during WWII. This example is fitted with a rare early production prototype bolt cocking piece. Below the 1942 date stamp is the US ordnance "flaming grenade"  and a "46" (most likely 1946). It has an armorers repair the forward top wood work and carries British broad arrow acceptance stamps and codes on various parts. From these marking and parts we can deduce that this rifle saw active service with the British army during WWII and was then reissued in 1946. It comes with an original sling, pig sticker bayonet & scabbard, plus 1942 dated inert .303 rounds and clip. A great set. Deactivated to old specifications in 1989 it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
