A fabulous condition WWII Springfield Armory made M1 Garand rifle. It dates to October 1944. The rifle is in superb  condition and is one of the best we have ever seen. Stunning matched wood work and crisp Parkerized finish to the action. No single long arm is more closely identified with the U.S. World War II infantryman than the rifle sometimes called "the last true butt stroker." The M-1 Garand's sturdy, 10-pound stock- unlike those of its successors-was heavy enough to deliver a lethal blow to an adversary. They were used extensively by US forces on all fronts in Europe and the Pacific War against the Japanese. Many saw action again in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Comes with sling and bayonet & scabbard. Deactivated in 1989 to old specifications with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
