Product Information

A WWII Colt manufactured 1911A1. The serial number 1201102 dates to late 1943, early 1944 production. The inspectors initials G.H.D. (Guy H. Drewry) were only used on Colt made 1911's from serial range  845,000 to 2,360,600 during WWII. The frame also bears the US ordnance cross cannons and property stamps. Interestingly the slide was changed post war most likely around the time of the Vietnam War. The US military used USGI contract parts to rework serviceable weapons. These parts bear a unique manufactures part codes. A great piece of US military history and one of the most iconic pistols of all time. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
