Product Information

Deactivated RARE Boer War Webley MKII .455 Revolver - Marked to the Canadian Mounted Rifles -C.M.R. Weapon 29. During the Second Boer War several battalions of the C.M.R. were formed and sent to South Africa. Whilst in South Africa this revolver was property marked Cape Government. This can be seen on the pistol grip "C/I\G" is an abbreviation for the Cape Government, South Africa. This well traveled revolver still retains its original finish, grips and has matching numbers to frame, barrel and cylinders. It has British military war department and broad arrow acceptance stamps. The large broad arrows facing each other signify that this revolver was "sold of out service" by the military. Often they were then privately purchase by officers as their personal sidearm. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked and dry fired.
