This is a very interesting Browning Model 1922 pistol. It is one of just 30,000 Model 1922 pistols that were purchased by the French just after the Second World War had ended for use by the their military and law enforcement forces. Serial numbers ran from 1 to 30,000. These pistols are known to have been issue in Toulon, France. As so few were made and those that do still exist still reside in France this is a rare opportunity to own a seldom seen variant of the 1922.  It has matching numbers and is still in great condition. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked and dry fired.
