Product Information

This is an original and seldom seen First World War, French, Chouvet flare or signal pistol. The manufacturers mark is St Etienne. These pistols are rarely seen in the UK as most were either destroyed or remained in France after the Great War has ended. This example is that much rarer and unique by virtue of the hand engravings. On the top of the barrel it is engraved with either a name or place and the date of 1914. The engravings would have been applied in the trenches. Also of considerable interest are the German proofs stamps and name Kunna Koblenz. Kunna were a gun maker and distributor of firearms who were based in the German city of Koblenz. It is certainly a very unique pistol with lots of history.

Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
