Product Information

This is a fascinating WWII airbourne issued Sten MK5 that was still in service in the 1960s with the British Army. This early example may well have been used during Operation Market Garden in 1944 with British airbourne units. The sling swivel positioned on top of the stock is most commonly associated with British airbourne and commando units. In 1966 this Sten was Factory Through Repaired at the Royal Ordnance Factory. The magazine housing reads "FTR  STEN MK.5 R.O.F. 66 A04764" The very low serial number "A04764" also appears on the stock and confirms this to be an early Sten MK5 weapon number 4764th from wartime production. This MK5 proves that they were still in service with the MOD well into the 1960s being used by armoured vehicle crews, guards and as a support or back-up weapons should they be required. You are unlikely to seen another one like this!

Deactivated with moving bolt lever that can be locked back and released under spring tension. Comes with an original sling and bayonet with scabbard.
