Deactivated SPRA Naval Signal/Flare Pistol

This is a SPRA Naval Signal/Flare brass pistol with a very low serial number of just "23". First Invented by William Schermuly in 1897 in an attempt to save British seaman and mariners from stricken vessels, they proved very successful have since been adopted by the military, navy and civilian markets, and are still in service today around the world.

Flare pistols are unaffected by the current deactivation specification changes and are permitted to have working actions and can still cocked and dry fired.
