Product Information

Rarely seen in the UK a genuine Colt Single Action Army Revolver (M1873) chambered in .45, aka the "Peacemaker" six shooter. Production started in 1872 and continued until 1940. This example has all matching numbers and dates to 1886 as the year of manufacture. The grips bear one previous owners name "ROEIZ". The entire gun is evenly worn with a patina to the finish that can only be achieved by a revolver that is nearly 140 years old!!! Possible one of the most iconic revolvers of all time, the Peacemaker has been used in countless western movies and carried by movie legends including Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Charles Bronson and Kevin Costner to name but a few. One of the most famous owners of the Peacemaker was US Lt Gen George S Patton who carried his Ivory gripped example with him throughout WWII. Deactivated with clear chambers and a working action. Included are six inert .45 rounds with unstruck primers.
