A Victorian era "The Bull-Dog" .450 revolver. This would appear to be a very early example. The serial number is "14". The Bulldog revolver was very popular during mid 1800s and early 1900s. Often used by British gentry as a personnel defense weapon. This is type of revolver was used in the recent Sherlock Holmes movies starring Robert Downey Junior and Jude Law. This revolver can be cocked and dry fire, however it no longer cycles the chambers. This is reflected in the price.
