A great looking example, First World War British Lee Enfield No1 MKIII* . Manufactured by Enfield it is dated 1918. This example has matching numbers to receiver, barrel, rear sight and nose cap. The bolt is the correct WWI type with rounded cocking piece. The wood work would also look to be original and is all of the same colour and age. In 1920, as part of the continued upgrades this rifle was put through the Enfield factory and stamped accordingly by the bolt safety lever. Accompanying this SMLE is a similarly dated 1907 Pattern Sanderson manufactured bayonet, and is fitted with a canvas sling. A great set. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
