Product Information

This is a First World War era "Ruby" pistol that was made by Le Basque with low four digit serial number. In 1915 France approached Spanish arms manufactures to supply them with these types pistols. Its utilized John Browning’s Colt and FN 1903 design and proved to be a very successful pistol. The Initails orders were for 10,000 per month were placed with Gabilondo y Urresti (later to become known as Llama) which was overwhelming for such a small gun maker. So inturn they contracted to other Spanish firms. Le Basque being one of those small companies. The same design was used by French firm "Unique" which was very popular with German forces during Nazi occupation.
