Product Information

1882 Martini Henry/ Metford under lever rifle, chambered in .303. On the stock are the initials S V T C  A 18, this is an abbreviation for Surrey Volunteer Training Corps, with A18 most likely an abbreviation for 18th Auxiliary Battalion. These rifles were used to train new recruits and cadets in all aspects of rifle handling during the WWI. Although this rifle is Martini action the bayonet mount / nose cap is from the Metford bolt action rifle which replaced the Martini. Comes fitted with reproduction leather sling. Deactivated with a working action and will cock, stripped and dry fired.
