Product Information

This is a superb WWI SMLE rifle. This example has all matching numbers including the bolt and wood work. Dated 1915, it was manufactured by Enfield and is a very early production MKIII* rifle without a magazine cut-off provision. The omission of the magazine cut-off plate is normally seen on SMLE's made from 1916 on wards. In the 1920s this rifle returned to the Enfield factory for an upgrade/repair and was marked accordingly by the bolt safety lever. This rifle would have almost certainly seen active service again during WWII. A rare survivor!
