Product Information

A rare opportunity to own a 1917 dated Webley MK6 .455 revolver, regimentally stamped and fitted with a rare Pritchard bayonet, scabbard & leather frog. The Pritchard bayonet's were used by trench raiding parties in the first world war. It gave the British officer the advantage, whilst in the confines of the trenches to use his revolver even if out of ammunition. Very few were made and even fewer exit today. The revolver is regimentally marked and reads "M 6.17'. This marking along is very unusual as most MK6s were unmarked and issued widely. We believe it to be an abbreviation for either the Manchester, Middlesex or Monmouthshire Regiments, all of which served and saw action during WW1. The number 6 referring to the 6th battalion and 17 the weapon number or date of 1917. The revolver is deactivated to current specifications with a clear barrel. It can be cocked stripped and dry fired.
