Product Information

A completely original, matching numbers First World War WWI Webley & Scott MKIII* Flare Pistol. Dated 1917, it is broad arrow marked with its original wooden grips and brass trumpet sleeve. This flare pistol was recently discovered by relatives whilst sorting through their late Grandfathers processions. It is believed to have been brought back by his father. They were used to signal, along with whistles when ordering soldiers to leave the trenches and go"over the top". This example bears several battle scares the most obvious is the impact to the underside of the trumpet. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
