Deactivated WWI Wolseley manufactured MKIII* brass flare pistol

This is a First World War dated Wolseley manufactured MKIII* brass flare pistol. This example is dated 1918 and was made by Wolseley Sheep Shearing Co, the parent of Wolseley Motors. Wolseley were among a few other small companies that were contracted to supply the MKIII* brass flare pistols for the WWI British war effort. They produced far less than Webley, this one number 14,580th and has matching numbers. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, strippe and dry fired.
