This is a superb condition First World War British Wolseley manufactured MKIII brass flare pistol. This fine example is dated 1918 and was made by the Wolseley Sheep Shearing Co, the parent of Wolseley Motors. Wolseley were among a few other small companies that were contracted to supply the MKIII brass flare pistols for the British war effort. They produced far less than Webley, this one being around number 16,092nd.
