Product Information

This is a WWII Bren MKI that was manufactured by RSAF = Royal Small Arms Factory, Enfield in 1941 and that was issued to the New Zealand Army during WWII. In comparison to most other Allied forces, New Zealand had a very small army of around 140,000 personnel who were deployed during WWII, and for these reasons only received very small numbers of weaponry from the UK Government. Post WWII this Bren was retired from frontline service but continued as a training aid and was marked "DP" = Drill Purpose".
