Deactivated WWII Bren MKI, manufactured by Lithgow and dated 1942. Matching numbers to all visible parts. Lithgow only managed to produce a total of around 17,429 Mk I and MkI(M) Brens during WWII. Very few in weapons production terms. Production only ran from 1940 to 1945, that's average of less than 3,500 a year!!! The first block of  serial numbers ran from A1 to A9999. This one being number six thousand two hundred and seventh. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
