This is an absolutely stunning condition WWII Bren MKI, manufactured by Lithgow, and dated 1943. It is one of the best examples available with all matching numbers including barrel and bolt. Lithgow only produced the Bren from 1940 to 1945, only managing a total of around 17,500 Mk I and MkI(M) during this period. Very few in gun terms. This super example is fitted with the correct adjustable bipod, rear dial sight and early "humped" stock. Originally issued in 1943 (43), the markings on the receiver show it was then FTR (Factory Through Repaired) in 1952, a very good indication of service use. A museum worthy examples.
