Product Information

WWII British Lee Enfield No4 MK1 Rifle manufactured by ROF Maltby. An early production 1942 dated example with correct bolt release catch. Only fitted to the MK1, on later models it was simplified and redesignated  MK1*. This example has a matching bolt and has an unusual bolt cocking piece fitted. Its is smooth rather than ribbed, these were fitted due to economy measures during WWII. Britain had a shortage of parts and materials, this was one way of saving whilst still producing serviceable rifles. The No4 was first introduced in mid 1941 as a direct replacement the aging SMLE going into full production in 1942. One of the classic British Second World War rifles.
