Product Information

This is a WWII British military issued No2 MK5 1 inch flare pistol. Manufactured in WW2 by I.L. Berridge & Co, who were a commercial knitting machine manufacturer. Berridge made over 200,000 examples of this particular flare pistol during the war, this example is number 48,328th and on the hammer carries the initials BE (Berridge) and dispersol code M601. They were issued to the RAF, Navy and the army. This example is broad arrow marked and has the flared barrel. It is fitted with hand made wooden grips. The originally plastic grips were prone to cracking and warping.

Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
