Deactivated WWII Colt 1911A1 manufactured by Union Switch & Signal Company. US&S were the last organization to receive a wartime contract for Model 1911A1 pistols by the US Army. Production began in 1942, and the first pistols were accepted into service in 1943. US&S only produced around 55,000 of these 1911A1 pistols, the second fewest of of the companies contracted to manufacture during WW2. They are now become very rare and sought after. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
