Product Information

This is an early WWII Enfield No2 MKI* .38 Revolver dated 1940 - Dunkirk era. Unlike the majority these revolvers encounted this example is not matching numbers and has been reworked / rebuilt from serviceable parts. This is indicative of the gun that has seen active service and on its return was hastily reworked - note the struck out numbers on the chamber walls. The brass disc is regimentally marked "7 R.T.R." - 7th Royal Tank Regiment who were formed in 1939 and were part of the British 1st Army Tank Brigade. The 4th and 7th R.T.R. fought in France as part of the British Expeditionary Force and who attacked the rear of Rommel’s 7th Panzer Division causing heavy looses to both its own forces and Rommel's division. The remaining fragments of the 4th and 7th R.T.R. were eventually evacuated from the beaches of Dunkirk in May to June of 1940. Included with this revolver are 9 inert .38 rounds a "tankers" open top canvas holster with its cleaning rod. Deactivated with a working action and clear chambers.
