Product Information

Deactivated WWII Enfield No2 MK1* .38 Revolver dated 1941 with broad arrow acceptance stamps.  A superb condition example with an interesting modification. The hammer spur has been removed, most likely to avoid it being court or snagged when in a confined space, but both single and double actions still work (it can still be manually cocked or fired from the trigger pull). It is said that RAF crews first raised the concerns about the hammer catching in the cockpit when bailing out. The No2 revolver was widely used throughout the British Army and issued to armoured vehicle and tank crews as well as the RAF. Often the last line of defense for crew members when on the ground after leaving there vehicle or plane. This example is in super condition with original wooden grips, lanyard ring and matching numbers. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
