A great condition WWII British, Enfield No2 MK1** .38 service revolver with matching numbers. Often referred to as the "Tankers" revolver, it is said that RAF crews first raised the concerns about the hammer catching in the cockpit when bailing out. They were widely used throughout the British Army and issued to armoured vehicle or tank crews and the RAF. Dated 1944, this revolver may well have been involved in the D-Day landing of June that year! This example is Broad arrow marked it retains its original wartime finish and grips. Comes with an original brown leather holster. Deactivated in 1993 to old specifications it has a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
