Product Information

A WWII era British made Lee Enfield No1 MKIII rifle with magazine cut-off. Manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms with its original barrel. The wood work would also appear to be original too. The bible on the SMLE, Ian Skennerton's book " The Lee Enfield" , dates this rifle by its serial number to wartime production. This rifle was originally produced for commercial sales but due to the huge shortage of rifles during WWII, all serviceable weapons were commandeered by the British Government for military use. Many were issued to Home Guard units. This rifle was also stationed overseas with colonial forces. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
