Product Information

This is a WWII Lee Enfield No4 MKI* .303 rifle. This example was manufactured by Canadian firm Long Branch in 1942 and was issued to New Zealand forces during the war. The stock band has the original N /I\ Z ownership and unit markings that have been struck out and then  over stamped with the initials "DP" meaning Drill Purpose. New Zealand had a very small armed force of only 140,000 personnel and received relatively small quantities of firearms. Post WWII and after being sold off by the military it was exported by Sarco Inc. USA, the worlds biggest firearms dealer before eventually returning to the UK in the 1990s where it was deactivated. Incredibly it still retains pretty much all of the WWII Long Branch marked parts and has lovely wood work.
