Product Information

This is a WWII Lee Enfield No4 MKI* "Lend Lease" .303 rifle dated 1942. Produced during WWII for the British Government, it was manufactured by US firm Savage Stevens under the 'lend lease" agreement to help arm Allied & Common Wealth forces. It is correctly marked "US Property" and has the US ordnance "Flaming Bomb" acceptance stamp. Many of these rifles failed to make it to Europe due to the heavy loses inflicted on merchant shipping by German U-boats. Thankfully this example made it. In 1952 this rifle was Factory Through Repaired at the ROF Fazakerley to a MK1/3 a part of the armies upgrade programme.
