This is a WWII Lee Enfield No4 MKI* .303 rifle - "D Day" era. Originally manufactured in 1944 by Canadian firm Long Branch under the 'lend lease" agreement to help arm Allied & Common Wealth forces. Many of these rifles never made it across from Canada as transport ships with these vital supplies were often targeted and sunk by German U-boats. Making these that much rarer.
