Deactivated WWII Lee Enfield No4 MKI* fitted with scope & mount

This is a WWII US made "Lead Lease" Lee Enfield No4 MKI* .303 Rifle fitted with a scope and mounts. The US made No4's were only produced during WWII for the British Government. This example was manufactured by US firm Savage under the "lend lease" agreement to help arm Allied & Common Wealth forces during the war. This rifle would have been shipped to help arm British and Common Wealth forces during the Allied invasion of Nazi occupied Europe. Many of these vital firearms failing to make it to Europe due to the heavy loses inflicted on merchant shipping by German U-boats. Thankfully this example made it. At some stage it was fitted custom mounts and a scope and could easily be mistaken as a No4T sniper. The wood work has lots of age related marks and repairs.

Deactivated to current specifications with moving bolt and removable magazine. This rifle can still be fully dismantled with the exception of the bolt.
