Product Information

A WWII US "Lead Lease" Lee Enfield No4 MKI* .303 Rifle, dated 1942. Only produced during WWII for the British Government, it was manufactured by US firm Savage Stevens under the 'lend lease" agreement to help arm Allied & Common Wealth forces during the war. It is correctly marked "US Property" and has the US ordnance "Flaming Bomb" acceptance stamp. Many of these rifles failed to make it to Europe due to the heavy loses inflicted on merchant shipping by German U-boats. Thankfully this example made it. The receiver is marked with a U and /I\ - broad arrow stamp within, meaning it was issued to allied forces in Africa. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
