Product Information

WWII "Lend Lease" Smith & Wesson .38 Victory Revolver. This example dates to mid 1942 production and has the US flaming grenade ordnance stamp. Marked of the top strap "United States Property", this marking was most commonly associated with weapons what were assigned to the Lend Lease agreement between the UK and US governments. This revolver is definitely one of those and is marked to New Zealand (NZ with Broad arrow acceptance stamp, weapon number 7813). In comparison to most other Allied forces, New Zealand had a very small army with around 140,000 personnel deployed during WWII. Making these marked weapons fairly scarce. Deactivated with a working action it can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
