This is a great condition WWII "Lend Lease" Smith & Wesson .38 M&P / Victory Revolver . This example dates to early 1942 production and has the letter V prefix to the serial number - hence the name Victory. Marked of the top strap with US flaming grenade followed by "U S Property" and the initials GHD - Guy H Drewry - US inspector of ordnance. These markings were most commonly associated with weapons what were assigned to the Lend Lease agreement between the UK and US governments during WWII.
