Product Information

This is a great condition all matching numbers Russian Officers M1895 Nagant revolver. Dated 1939 - Winter War era that was manufactured by Tula. In August 1939 Russia signed a pact with Nazi Germany and in November of that year invaded Finland. With no purceived threat from Germany production numbers of the Nagant revolvers remained relatively low during this period with and average of 10,000 being made monthly in 1939. The M1895 is a seven shot revolver with a unique gas-seal. When cocked the cylinder moves forward, the gap between the cylinder and the barrel closes. This provides a boost to the muzzle velocity allowing the weapon to be suppressed and increase muzzle velocity. A very clever and advanced design for the time. They were also used by infamous KGB, who adapted them and used them fitted with a silencer.
